If you need assistance to complete your application due to a disability, please email: TalentAcquisitionCoE_Howmet@howmet.comJob Responsibilities: * Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System. * Supporting of customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits * Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement. * Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services * Developing training documentation for specific processes in compliance with customer and quality requirements. * Participating in design reviews, risk management, continuous improvement, approval of routers for new products, contract review, and PPAP activities. * Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies. * Working closely with all departments/functions to develop procedures/work instructions for new processes, identify improvement and training needs, and develop performance goals. * Communicating significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. * Managing Root Cause & Corrective Action process for external and internal customer complaints. * Developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. * Interface and assist with supply chain development and initiatives; evaluate supplier performance; maintain suppliers' qualifications up to date. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, Material Science or manufacturing engineering * 1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: * 1 years of experience in the quality field, aerospace industry preferred * ASQ CQE certified (preferred) * Knowledge of lean manufacturing basics and AS9100 quality system requirements * Working Knowledge of problem-solving tools * Experience in blueprint reading * PPAP and AS9102 experience * Strong organization and planning skills As a Quality Engineer, you'll be part of our Aerospace team working as an on-site employee in Fullerton, CA. The quality engineer will support with FAIR documentation and approval, internal and external audit preparations, MRB processes, customer relations, and support the quality inspection processes.
