Senior Estimator

Commercial Construction | Premier General Contractor | High-Value Projects

Full-Time | Direct Hire Base Salary: $170,000 $215,000+ Bonus: Annual Performance Bonus + Project-Based Incentives

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in winning major projects, developing competitive budgets, managing the preconstruction process, and helping drive the company's continued growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid.
• Prepare detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and specialty plans and specifications.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Level bids and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost savings.
• Develop detailed bid proposals, budgets, alternates, and value-engineering options.
• Participate in client presentations, pre-bid meetings, and project site walks.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and ownership.
• Establish accurate project budgets and provide cost guidance throughout preconstruction.
• Assist with negotiated, design-build, GMP, and hard-bid projects.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Estimators and Project Engineers.
• Maintain current knowledge of labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor market conditions.

Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Demonstrated success estimating projects from $10M to $100M+
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and costs
• Exceptional blueprint and specification reading skills
• Advanced quantity takeoff and estimating abilities
• Strong subcontractor and vendor relationships
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple estimates and deadlines
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, DESTINI or comparable estimating platforms preferred

Compensation $170,000 $215,000+ BASE SALARY

Compensation is based on experience, project portfolio, estimating expertise, and overall qualifications.
