Title : Surgical Technologist Initial Duration – 13+ weeks (High possibilities of Extension) Location: Grand Rapids, MI - 49503 Shift: : 7 AM – 5:30 PM (4x10 hr shift) Weekend rotation: Every 6th weekend on call, 30-minute response time On Call: Call is required for weekends and weeknights, one weeknight 7 PM – 7 AM every third week. Note: Pediatric experience required Note: You can refer your friends or colleagues for this role or any other RN role, we do offer a referral bonus of $750. Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility Other locations available in MI. Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states. Job Summary: · Provides sterile instruments and supplies during surgical procedures. · Performs surgical counts, prepares case tables, assists in positioning, engages with surgeons regarding instruments, actively participates in safety initiatives, and performs other duties as assigned. · Creates and maintains a sterile and safe environment. · Prepares case tables with necessary equipment, sterile supplies, instruments and medications/solutions for each surgical case. · Assists in positioning patients for surgical procedures and maintains a protective position throughout the case · Suggests instrument set changes to EMI and works with SPD identifying instrument sets that need to be worked on. · Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis Requirements: · CST · BLS - AHA
