UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a radiologist to join our expanding Division of Community Radiology, based in our growing practice in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is open to candidates with training in any radiology subspecialty, offering the opportunity to incorporate subspecialty expertise into your practice while maintaining a balanced mix of general diagnostic radiology.

Leadership opportunities are available for qualified individuals interested in program development and operations within a dynamic and growing division.

Why This Role Stands Out

Clinical and Academic Excellence: Practice at UT Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the #1 hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth by U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026) for 9 consecutive years and a top academic institution nationally

  • Opportunity to work with exceptional residents and fellows from one of the most competitive training programs in the region
  • Flexible Practice Model: Blend your subspecialty training with general diagnostic radiology
  • Advanced Technology: State-of-the-art imaging equipment across all sites
  • Advanced, enterprise-wide integration of AI-driven imaging informatics, including intelligent triage of critical findings, automated impression generation, and decision support tools to augment diagnostic accuracy and efficiency
  • Supportive Call Structure: Evenly distributed call with dedicated in-house ER coverage after hours
  • Flexible Work Options: Includes a dedicated home workstation for remote reading

What You’ll Do

  • Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies across your subspecialty and general radiology
  • Perform and oversee:
    • Subspecialty exam interpretation within your specialty
    • General work includes abdominal and chest CT and x-ray, ultrasound, and fluoroscopic studies (with support from Radiology Assistants)

Your Team & Environment

  • Join a division of 19 faculty and 5 radiology assistants
  • Practice across a network that includes:
    • UTSW University Hospitals
    • Parkland Health & Hospital System
    • 6 ambulatory clinics across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex
  • Work with:
    • Integrated PACS + EMR for seamless clinical workflow
    • Standardized dictation templates for efficiency and decision support
    • Radiologist-led quality assurance programs focused on patient safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with additional call compensation
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Retirement plans with employer match + optional 403(b) and 457(b)
  • Academic enrichment fund (CME, conferences, etc.)
  • Internal moonlighting opportunities
  • Paid parental leave + FMLA
  • Faculty development programs, including leadership training and support for advanced degrees
  • Robust administrative and logistical support

Why Fort Worth?

Fort Worth is the 11th-largest U.S. city, now home to over 1 million residents and among the fastest-growing metropolitan areas. It offers a compelling mix of big-city amenities and laid-back Texas charm, with a vibrant cultural scene, excellent dining, and a lower cost of living than comparable markets. Residents benefit from outstanding public and private schools, easy access to outdoor recreation and the broader Dallas-Fort Worth region, and convenient proximity to DFW International Airport with nonstop flights to hundreds of destinations worldwide.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty (preferred)
  • Board certified/eligible (American Board of Radiology)
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure (required prior to start)

Apply Today

If you’re seeking a flexible, academically connected role where you can practice both subspecialty and general radiology, with opportunities for leadership and growth, we encourage you to apply.

Submit your CV and contact information for confidential consideration.
