Job descriptionInterventional Radiology Technologist Job Description Job Title Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Pomona, California. This role is based in an acute care setting, where you will be an integral part of a specialized team performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in assisting physicians during complex interventional radiology procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring optimal patient care and safety throughout the process. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical patient outcomes in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Assist Interventional Radiologists during a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to angiograms, biopsies, drainages, and embolizations. Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and angiography systems, ensuring optimal image quality and equipment functionality. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and adherence to sterile techniques. Monitor patient vital signs and provide direct patient care during procedures, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and self. Accurately document all procedures, patient information, and imaging details in accordance with facility standards. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked procedure room. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, dedicated experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Proficiency in assisting with various interventional radiology procedures.
