Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager organizes, plans, and leads a skilled team of design and project engineers in the support, design, and development of new company products in accordance with customer specifications, company engineering policies, and government/industry standards. Responsible for the technical aspects of new and legacy aerospace products within an assigned segment of business operations.

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of product design and 3+ years of engineering management
• Experience in Aerospace, Defense or Medical Device industry required
• Proficient with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project)
• Knowledge of PDM and Configuration Management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall technical ownership/authority and lead the team engaged in the design and development of both new and legacy products.
• Facilitate the communication and interaction among both internal and external stakeholders by advocating and fostering cross-functional teamwork using team-based management and leadership concepts.
• Ensure that goals, objectives, and deliverables of each program/project are accomplished.
• Ability to identify and communicate project risks, goals, and requirements to internal/external stakeholders.
• Support the marketing of products as well as analyze project requirements, provide technical analysis, and resolve customer problems.
• Generate and support new business opportunities from a technical perspective (including RFI/RFP activities).
• Build a dynamic engineering team and lead by example.
• Provide employee coaching and mentoring to further build and strengthen the culture within the team.
• Support the development of short and long-term goals within the engineering department and ensure they are aligned with the overall company goals and objectives.
• Identify new and/or opportunistic applications in solving customer problems. In addition, cultivating relationships with current and new customers.
• Develop innovative and proprietary technology for various commercial and military platforms using focused resources and cross-functional teamwork.
• Manage and lead configuration management team.
• Lead activities to enhance engineering department's efficiency/productivity
• Travel domestically and/or internationally to support sales with new business opportunities or to provide engineering support for customers
