Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Sector: B2B Sales | Organic & Natural Ingredients | Food & Beverage
About Cambridge Commodities, Inc. (U.S.)
At Cambridge Commodities, Inc. (CCI), our ambition is simple and bold:
To be, and be seen as, the world's best organic and natural ingredient supplier and the best performing company in our industry.
To lead the market in supplying the world's most nutrient-dense foods, making healthier options more accessible when customers are ready for them.
We directly import organic and natural food ingredients from sustainably farmed, biodiverse regions around the world, with a focus on high phytonutrient-dense, plant-based ingredients. We maintain close, hands-on relationships with our farmer partners, champion regenerative agriculture, and share the authentic stories behind the ingredients we supply.
Our roots trace back to the pioneers of the raw superfood movement-Earth Circle Organics and Ultimate Superfoods-and today, as Cambridge Commodities, Inc., we are an emerging force in the U.S. organic and natural ingredients landscape.
We are proud to be a Certified B Corporation, part of a global community using business as a force for good, meeting rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
People are at the heart of everything we do. We believe great companies are built by great humans. We foster a culture that values integrity, curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and personal growth. We work hard, we care deeply, and we want our people to enjoy the journey.
If you are someone who wants to build, contribute, and be an exponent in a purpose-driven organization, this may be your place.
The Role
This is a key role within the U.S. Sales Team, focused on developing new customer relationships while maximizing growth within existing accounts. You will act as a trusted commercial partner to customers across food & beverage, functional nutrition, and related sectors, helping them bring better products to market through intelligent ingredient sourcing and supply chain collaboration.
You will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building strong, long-term client relationships that drive sales and support new product development (NPD).
- Drive growth of core commodity and strategic ingredient lines by deeply understanding customer needs, formulations, and end markets.
- Leverage market intelligence and research tools to stay informed on trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
- Identify and maximize sales opportunities by aligning customer needs with CCI's ingredient portfolio and sourcing capabilities.
- Respond to customer and prospect inquiries within 24 hours, providing timely, professional communication and holding responses when required.
- Host regular phone and video meetings to nurture relationships and advance opportunities.
- Research, identify, and proactively contact potential customers and decision makers.
- Support and participate in marketing initiatives including trade shows, conferences, accreditations, and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, sales decks, and product overviews.
- Communicate new product developments and sourcing capabilities to customers.
- Develop and present quotes, proposals, and tailored commercial solutions.
- Produce quarterly territory reports and strategic plans for review.
- Complete weekly activity reporting and monthly performance/logo board updates.
The Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring experience with ERP, CRM, and eCommerce systems, along with exposure to the natural, organic, or ingredient industries.
You will also demonstrate:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Comfort managing deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.
- Ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with daily execution.
- A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of personal ownership.
- A genuine interest in food, ingredients, sustainability, and human health.
Just as important as experience:
- You have integrity.
- You are reliable.
- You care about people.
- You are curious.
- You take responsibility.
- You want to grow.
What You Can Expect
- A purpose-driven, values-led organization.
- Opportunity to help shape a fast-growing U.S. business.
- Exposure to global supply chains and origin partners.
- A supportive, entrepreneurial culture.
- Competitive, negotiable salary and benefits.
If you are excited by the idea of helping bring the world's most nutrient-dense foods to market, and doing so with integrity, curiosity, and heart, we would love to hear from you!
