Responsibilities

  • Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
  • Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the companys standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
  • Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
  • Answer house calls, assist guests and employees with respect to safety, security and hotel operations
  • Respond to all emergencies on property to include, but not limited to, fire, medical, severe weather and evacuation
  • Initiate and follow?up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons
  • Assist ill and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports
  • Initiate investigations, write incidents and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow?up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts
  • Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building
  • Conduct walk through observations of entire hotel
  • Promote safe work practices
  • Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority
  • Observe the security monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly
  • Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log
  • Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
  • Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
  • Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  • Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
