Transportation Resident Engineer

About being our Transportation Resident Engineer :
As our Transportation Resident Engineer, you will work in conjunction with the Owner's Project Manager to compose and issue field orders, monitor the quality of the construction project and conformance with plans and specifications, monitor the contractor's safety implementation, determine monthly progress payments, create a daily report and monitor the daily reports of staff, initiate change proposals for design team review and approval, estimate cost of changes, negotiate costs with contractors, and recommend acceptance to the Owner's Project Manager.
Responsibility Highlights for our Transportation Resident Engineer :
- Provide pre-construction services including bid-ability / constructability reviews and bidding services
- Provide contract administration, review contractor's schedule, respond to claims received from contractor, documenting progress of project, and respond to requests for information, submittals and change orders
- Provide monitoring of project in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule
- Daily personal interactions / coordination with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Direct and supervise field construction management staff and their activities and other Psomas / Owner sub-consultants, as directed
- Facilitate project delivery and the resolution of project issues
