The Test and Measure Business Unit at Emerson is looking for a Revenue Accountant to serve on the Global Revenue team as a key business partner to all stakeholders in our revenue recognition cycle. We seek a candidate that has a strong, broad understanding of the accounting requirements for revenue recognition under . GAAP (ASC 606/IFRS 15), as well as an ability to apply those standards in a rapidly changing business environment.

Managing multiple sources of data and information and ensuring all are included and appropriately summarized to provide timely accurate analysis to key decision makers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the Global Revenue team as a revenue accounting subject matter expert
- Determine and document revenue accounting treatment for large sales transactions
- Complete monthly deferred revenue journal entries
- Prepare quarter-end deferred revenue reporting
- Analyze revenue recognition assumptions and prepared summaries of findings and policy change (if necessary)
- Prepared templates to facilitate efficient regional disclosure reporting
- Provide timely support for quarterly and annual external reviews and audits
- Maintain knowledge of accounting and reporting developments affecting revenue accounting and reporting
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
CPA or equivalent preferred
3+ years accounting experience (Public Accounting, Industry or combination of both)
Proficient user of MS Office Software, including MS Excel
Oracle and Tableau experience preferred
