Collections Team Lead
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Collections Team Lead to support our client's revenue cycle operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in collections, denial management, appeals, and credit balance reconciliation. While not a managerial role, the Team Lead will serve as a senior contributor and collaborate across departments to drive efficiency and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and resolve claim denials, appeals, and credit balance reconciliations.
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as :
- Days in accounts receivable (A / R)
- Denial rates
- Collection efficiency
- Collaborate with billing, coding, registration, and finance teams to streamline workflows.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Conduct root cause analysis on payment delays and denials; recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with payer regulations, HIPAA, and internal policies.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation of revenue cycle tools and technologies.
