ELS is hiring for the position of Risk Analyst Risk Management in Chicago, Illinois.
What You'll Do
The Risk Analyst develops financial reports, analyses, models and guidance to support the Risk Management team.
Your Job Will Include
- Support catastrophic property claims administration, including tracking of invoices and payments, and identifying any issues in collaboration with other departments.
- Participate in the insurance annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process, prepare journal entries for allocations to properties, review all allocations and payments each month for accuracy, and identify any recoding or revisions needed.
- In preparation for insurance renewals, request, obtain and review exposure information, compare information received to prior exposures, follow up on discrepancies or unusual changes.
- Upon each insurance renewal, determine the total cost for each coverage to the prior policies versus latest budget or reforecast, update reforecast and allocations to properties.
- Track receipt of renewal invoices and insurance policies and compare to binding approvals to ensure timely receipt and accuracy, and if final invoice amounts vary from binding, update reforecast.
- Work with broker and others within the department regarding compliance with lender insurance requirements, information requests and follow up.
- Master the technical, notification updates, and reporting capabilities of the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, compare to prior reports, identify and resolve any issues.
- Backup for vendor insurance compliance review and resolution and entry of risk management related payments into accounts payable system.
