Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather. Able to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to safely operate snowmobiles or ATVs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Team-oriented with great communication and documentation habits. About the Role :
Join the Terry Peak Ski Area team as a Ski Lift Mechanic / Electrician and help keep our lifts running safely and smoothly year-round. You’ll work in a hands-on, outdoor role maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ski lift systems that are vital to our mountain operations. This is a full-time, year-round position offering steady work, training opportunities, and a great mountain lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all ski lift equipment and systems.
- Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and operational testing.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including motors, controls, and drive systems.
- Maintain accurate records and lift logs for inspections and repairs.
- Open and close lifts daily and ensure all safety standards are met.
- Climb lift towers and work at heights in all weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to identify and resolve issues quickly.
