Business Development Representative

Heritage Oaks Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers which has been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 1988. Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. Heritage Oaks has three outpatient centers as part of the Branches Outpatient of the greater Sacramento. Providing partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) to support patients on their road to wellness. We are committed to providing service excellence to all and ensuring our patients receive the optimal level of care that will be most beneficial to their health and recovery.

The Business Development Representative implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the Director of Business Development while maximizing referral potentials from assigned accounts, demonstrating a high level of commitment to exemplary customer service and developing new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the business development systems. This role will specifically focus on growing referrals for Branches Outpatient Services and cross-selling services for our sister facilities. Develop new accounts and markets in the employer EAP, Primary Care Physicians/Licensed Practitioners and managed care segments, and as directed by the Director of Business Development. Develop a designated number of qualified business development contacts per week, which will achieve the overall business development goals and objectives. Develop account management list to maintain current account information, and update as required. Support all other growth initiatives as may be required. Please note this is a non-commissioned role. Compensation is based on a base salary and does not include commission. Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable results Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles and delivery systems preferred. Experience using computers and software programs for marketing, record keeping and performance measurement purposes. Experience working pro-actively with both internal and external customers to create solutions to issues and problems. Experience building long-term professional relationships in the behavioral health community that focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record and current CPR certificate.
