Sales Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Engineer is a mid-level technical sales support position reporting to the Technical Sales Manager. This role combines technical knowledge of power system protection engineering with sales support capabilities to help drive SynchroGrid's consulting and software business growth. The Sales Engineer acts as a technical liaison between customers and the sales team, providing product demonstrations, technical consultation during the sales process, and post-sale implementation support and account management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Pre-Sales Technical Support (50%)
Identify and pursue new customers in target utility marketsDevelop high-quality proposals and quotations, including drafting technical scopes, for both software and engineering service salesSupport development of regional territory and individual account strategiesPrepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations of SARA softwareCreate technical documentation and collateral for sales presentationsDevelop demonstration scenarios and use-cases tailored to customer needsSupport proof-of-concept evaluations and trial implementationsParticipate in customer site visits to assess technical requirementsGain hands-on experience with the SARA software through client work in support of the Engineering Services consultancy business (first year only - optional pending experience level)2. Post-Sales Product and Service Implementation Support (30%)
Lead account management efforts by strengthening client relationshipsProvide onboarding and initial training for new SARA software customersSupport customers with software integration during initial adoption phaseTroubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with engineering for complex problemsDocument customer implementation processes and best practicesCreate customer-facing technical guides and tutorial materialsGather customer feedback on product usability and feature requests3. Sales Process Support (20%)
Support achievement of annual revenue targets through active sellingPerform outreach to potential clients via email, phone calls, social media, etc.Maintain and update technical content in CRM system (HubSpot)Track product demonstration schedules and follow-up activitiesCoordinate with engineering team on technical feasibility for custom requestsAttend sales team meetings and provide technical input on opportunitiesSupport marketing initiatives with technical content creationSupport lead development by representing SynchroGrid at relay conferences and industry eventsMaintain competitive intelligence on software products in the marketSOFTWARE PRODUCTS & ENGINEERING SERVICES TO SUPPORT

Education :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical fieldCoursework in power systems, protection, or related areas preferredTechnical Knowledge :
