Performance Coach (Morning Schedule)
25–35 Hours/Week | Beaverton, OR | ADAPT Training
Help people build lifelong physical capability—not just fitness.
At ADAPT, we’re looking for more than another coach.
We’re looking for professionals who believe helping someone regain the ability to fully participate in life is meaningful work.
Whether that’s returning to hiking, playing with grandchildren, running another marathon, or simply living without unnecessary limitation, our mission is to help people build lifelong physical capability so they can fully participate in the life they want to live.
If you’re passionate about helping people, committed to continual learning, and want to become part of a team that pursues mastery together, we’d love to meet you.
Professional Growth & Compensation
We believe exceptional people deserve a clear path to grow.
At ADAPT, compensation is tied to demonstrated capability—not simply tenure.
Performance Coaches advance through a structured professional development framework based on:
- Technical coaching excellence
- Consistent execution
- Living our Core Values
- Leadership impact
- Long-term contribution
Compensation: $–$ per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
As your impact grows, your opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership, and compensation grow alongside it.
What You’ll Do
- Coach private training, Small Group Personal Training, and targeted Group Training programs.
- Build meaningful, long-term client relationships while reinforcing consistency through our The Other 165 coaching process.
- Deliver technically excellent coaching that helps clients build lifelong physical capability.
- Execute the ADAPT coaching system while continually refining your own craft.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re far more interested in who you are than simply what’s on your résumé.
The right person is someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys helping people become capable of more than they thought possible.
- Is humble enough to keep learning and confident enough to accept coaching.
- Brings positive energy, professionalism, and accountability to a team.
- Wants to build a career—not simply work another coaching job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred—but not required.
- CSCS, ACSM, NASM, or a similar certification is a plus (or a clear plan to obtain one).
- Experience coaching individuals or groups is valuable, but we also welcome exceptional candidates from outside the industry who demonstrate the mindset, character, and desire to master the profession.
- Available to coach early morning hours (25–35 hours/week).
Why ADAPT?
At ADAPT, we’re intentionally building more than a team—we’re building a professional home for people who believe this work matters.
You’ll be surrounded by teammates who challenge you, support you, and genuinely want to see you succeed. We invest heavily in mentorship, continuing education, and professional development because we believe great coaches never stop being students.
If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be encouraged to grow as much as you’re expected to contribute, you’ll feel at home here.
