Job description

Malace|HR is seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components in a commercial and industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, load centers, and distribution systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.

  • Maintain electrical wiring systems and components in compliance with the National Electrical Code and industry standards.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

  • Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures and identify necessary repairs.

  • Inspect, test, and evaluate electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus and equipment.

  • Operate and use required tools and equipment safely and effectively.

  • Plan layouts and wiring for new or existing installations.

  • Fabricate electrical parts and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications and safety codes.

  • Provide updates and status reports to supervisors and team members.

  • Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment.

  • Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician.

  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial and industrial electrical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, methods, materials, tools, and systems used in the trade.

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.

  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to operate a bucket truck (preferred).

  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (preferred).

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position with a 90-day probationary period.

  • Work may require exposure to outdoor environments and inclement weather.

  • Role involves standing for prolonged periods, walking, lifting, carrying, kneeling, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, and balancing.

  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment requiring attention to detail and adaptability.
