We are comprised of a 302-bed hospital, multiple medical offices, home care services, comprehensive cancer care, and a vast scope of award-winning services. Outdoor adventures are readily available, including skiing, hiking along scenic trails, and exploring the Oregon coast. The Surgical Technologist facilitates the physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. They handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. Quality patient care is ensured during the operative procedure, constantly monitoring the maintenance of the sterile field. Education and work experience requirements are an Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology. Relevant acute care experience is preferred. Licenses and certifications include National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred. Essential functions include verifying surgery with consent forms and bringing patients to the assigned operating room. The Surgical Technologist passes instruments to the surgeon during procedures and anticipates additional supply needs. They perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed. Prepping sterile dressings and securing dressings after incision closure is required. Checking supplies and equipment for surgical procedures and setting up sterile tables with needed items is essential. Assisting other team members in cleaning the room for turnover and prepping for the next patient is part of the role. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. The organization is committed to the safety and well-being of associates and patients, requiring all associates to receive necessary vaccinations. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participation in E-Verify is a requirement. Total bed count is 14, with staffing ratios of 1:1 for days and nights. Call is required on weeknights and weekends, with weekend coverage of 1 per month. Support services include pharmacy, unit secretary, and 24/7 provider coverage. Special equipment includes CVOR, Hybrid OR, and DaVinci Xi robots.
