Job description
SMI SECURITY IS HIRING – SECURITY OFFICER
Kendall / Cutler Bay Area

SMI Security is currently seeking a seasoned and professional Security Officer who resides in the Kendall or Cutler Bay area and enjoys working closely with people in a community-focused environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent service while assisting senior citizens in a residential setting.

Position Overview:
The officer will be responsible for monitoring the property, assisting residents, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of senior residents. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.

Schedule:
40 Hours Per Week
  • Monday: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
  • Thursday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
  • Friday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
  • Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and secure the property.
  • Conduct patrols and remain highly visible.
  • Assist senior residents as needed.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies.
  • Write detailed daily activity and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented attitude.

Requirements:
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be computer savvy.
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Valid Florida Security D License preferred.
