Market Analyst
This position is part of POET Bioproducts the POET business responsible for the marketing and logistics for our suite of distillers grains and distillers corn oil products. It is our role at POET Bioproducts to market and transport, as efficiently as possible, our high-quality products from our bioprocessing facilities to our valued customer who happen to be located all over the globe. We use trucks, trains, barges, containers and ocean vessels to make this happen.
As a Market Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and communicating key financial drivers to the business, preparing and presenting reports to the leadership and commercial teams, and partnering with the business in evaluating opportunities, performing value-added ad-hoc analyses and completing special projects as required. This is an on-site role located at our headquarters in Sioux Falls, SD. Responsibilities include:
- Monitor, research and analyze the current grain, livestock, and feedstuffs environment to identify potential business initiatives for POET Bioproducts.
- Provide and present analysis and risk reports to the POET Bioproducts Commercial Team.
- Assist in the development of trading strategies in conjunction with overall commercial directional strategies.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in vetting possible business development opportunities.
- Build, enhance, and maintain the POET Bioproducts database.
- Prepare ad hoc strategic analyses as requested by Senior Management.
