GENERAL SUMMARY:
Oversee all aspects of souring, negotiating, and purchasing materials for the company. Processes incoming purchase requisition requests, issues purchase orders, manage open PO reports, and is responsible for carrying out projects assigned by the Supply Chain Manager. Responsible for purchasing parts, equipment, office supplies, snacks, uniforms, janitorial and safety items.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee all aspects of sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials to support operations.
• Primary contact for all communications with Customer Service, ensuring alignment and issue resolution.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost-savings initiatives, and engages with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards while ensuring accountability for agreed-upon metrics.
• Creates and manages purchase orders with accuracy and consistency; maintains organized records of open orders. Follows through on each purchase order from initiation to completion, ensuring timely receipt and delivery to requester. Proactively monitors order status, communicates with vendors to resolve issues, and ensures requestor is notified of any delays.
• Manages end-to-end procurement and replenishment of office, safety, janitorial, and breakroom supplies; supports Supply Chain Manager with vendor contracts and service providers (including janitorial, fire protection, elevator, plumbing, and roll-up door services); and administers key supplier accounts (First Aid, safety, and water services).
• Assists the Materials Manager by ordering all packaging materials and supporting special projects that require procurement coordination.
• Supports supplier corrective action processes, maintains required ISO documentation, and ensures all purchasing activities comply with company procedures and ISO 9001 standards.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for supplier performance metrics, including On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Supplier Returns; maintains data ownership, and tracking.
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, math, and interpret complex documents to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Performs a variety of additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support purchasing activities and overall facility operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a minimum of three years of experience. A degree is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Communicates effectively with co-workers, suppliers, and management; must be organized and proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
