MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation. We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico.
MGC Contractors, Inc is looking for experienced Construction Project Administrator to join our Texas Division in the San Antonio area.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Organize and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate with applicable personnel in the recruitment process.
- Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, superintendents, foremen, and safety department on project needs.
- Organize and oversee social events.
- Oversee assigned special projects (vaccinations, employee vehicle data, QR codes, etc.)
- Implement effective document controls (receivers, equipment inspections, concrete receipts, rubble trucks, etc.)
- Update material logs as needed.
- Manage resources related to equipment (rent logs, quotes, orders, deliveries, call off dates, etc.).
- Maintain office supplies in stock as needed.
- Maintain the jobsite office at a professional appearance (free of clutter, clean, organized, etc.).
- Manage field resources (dumpsters, porta potties, drinking water, signage, etc.).
- Any and all other duties assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc. This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone. The ability to read printed materials, signs and directions.to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner. While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in construction administration preferred
- Notary (preferred).
- Spanish/English Bilingual (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Effective Communication Skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries.
