Senior Designer
The Senior Designer will work cross functionally with Graphic Design, Sales and Merchandising to oversee multiple design areas while facilitating the design and merchandising of apparel lines.
Responsibilities
- Shop the market to research and identify current trends and present competitive data as it is related to their prospective area of responsibility to establish key objectives for the brand
- Ensure accuracy of tech packs and design catalog
- Manage the overall design process to ensure that the design team is successfully meeting business needs according to the design time and action calendar
- Manage and oversee the overall design process to ensure that lines are meeting the style plans, sales needs and emerging trends
- Present concept and vision in licensor and sales meetings
- Work closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to conceptualize and launch clothing lines for several levels of distribution
- Supervise and lend feedback regarding sampling communication between sample room, Design, and cross-functional teams as needed
- Recruit top talent, train and develop team members
- Oversee Fashion Show concepting, styling and go-sees
- Supervise design staff and provide direction and management throughout the design process
- Special projects as assigned
