Internship Opportunity at Tacoma Community College
Tacoma Community College is seeking currently enrolled students for a financial services internship. This position is for TCC students only and is intended to establish an applicant pool for future vacancies. The financial services intern will assist the financial services office with the following essential functions :
- Learn about the general ledger
- Learn how to prepare and review pivot tables with large amounts of data
- Learn to analyze financial data
- Learn about the budget process
- Learn to correct / process budget errors and budget transfers
- Investigate budget issues
- Help the college community with budget questions
- Learn the capital projects accounting process
- Verify invoices
- Learn how to prepare / analyze invoice reconciliations
- Learn how to prepare capital draw documentation
The duties of the position require experience and knowledge, skills, and abilities including :

Part-time student hourly positions are bound by the WAC 357-04-045 provisions and are scheduled to work up to 16 hours per week. The salary is $20.00 per hour.
