Insero Talent Solutions is thrilled to partner with a well-established, multi-office professional services firm in their search for a Business Development & Marketing Manager to join their growing team.
This position will support one of its key regional offices and designated practice groups. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this position will partner closely with office leadership and practice group heads to develop and execute targeted growth strategies. The role blends strategic planning, market intelligence, event leadership, and high-level project management.
This is a visible position requiring strong executive presence, the ability to influence without authority, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development Partnership
- Partner directly with office leadership and assigned practice group leaders to develop and implement annual business development plans.
- Identify revenue growth opportunities through market trends, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence.
- Track client engagement and pipeline activity to uncover opportunities to expand relationships and increase client value.
- Advise and coach professionals on business development strategy, client targeting, and relationship-building best practices.
- Assist with development and oversight of annual business development budgets.
Proposal & Growth Initiative Leadership
- Serve as project manager for RFP/RFQ and pitch opportunities for the assigned office and practice groups.
- Manage incoming business development and marketing projects from intake through execution, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with firm strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to support profile-raising initiatives, including industry rankings, award submissions, and visibility campaigns.
Market & Community Engagement
- Oversee community and industry engagement initiatives for the assigned office.
- Serve as a representative of the firm at regional business and industry events.
- Identify strategic sponsorship and event opportunities aligned with client development goals.
Event Strategy & Execution
- Lead planning and execution of firm-hosted and sponsored events.
- Ensure events are strategically leveraged to generate new business and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Track outcomes and follow-up initiatives to measure ROI.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of business development and/or marketing experience within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience advising senior professionals on growth strategy and client development.
- Strong working knowledge of professional services business development best practices.
- Experience managing RFP processes and complex, deadline-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with regional business communities and industry organizations preferred.
- Executive presence and strong interpersonal influence.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management skills.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into strategy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Client service orientation with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, professional environment.
