Ensure clear communication, set expectations, deliver excellent results, and provide ongoing client care. Understand each site to design according to the land's needs and the client's wants. Consider environmental factors such as drainage, energy availability, tree locations, drainage issues, and grade changes. Envision the potential of the space with knowledge of hardscape construction, plant material, and design elements. Discuss the scope and scale of the property's livability during the initial consultation. Manage the design process Prepare cost estimates and oversee the projects budget. Present the design and estimate to clients for approval. Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure designs are buildable and job sites are efficient. Serve as a project manager for each of your jobs. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Landscape Horticulture (BS, Hort) or Landscape Architecture (BLA) and a minimum of 5 years experience in high-end residential work for discerning clients. Additional compensation is given to those possessing a Setting of Landscape Plants (SLP) and Landscape Design (LD) license attained through the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI). Ability to pass our prescreening process, including background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Must be able to access and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other aspects of our facilities We use BambooHR as a portion of our hiring process. Using strong skills in design, sales, communication, and project management, you will expertly manage a diverse portfolio of high-end, custom-crafted projects.

- Reading comprehension to understand work-related documents
- Artistic eye for elements of design such as color theory, texture, balance, proportion, and more
- Computer skills. Familiarity with CAD, GIS, and basic landscape management software is a plus.
- Horticultural experience and education. Knowing the ways ecological conditions affect a proposed design is imperative.
- Construction background. Knowing the practicality and buildability of a proposed design is vital.
- Surveying experience and equipment knowledge
- Experience with estimation and sales.

Duties and Responsibilities
Client Consultations
Engage clients in conversations to understand their dreams and desires for the space.
Site Analysis and Design
Conduct site analysis and take measurements.
Design Management
Prepare the site plan and graphic presentation yourself or subcontract to an in-house or external designer.
Project Collaboration and Management
Periodically visit job sites to check on progress and address needs.
