DIRECT HIRE - ACCOUNTANT - PLANTSVILLE, CT

Job Title : Accountant

Location : Plantsville, CT (Fully Onsite)

Salary Range : $65,000 to $67,000

Type : Direct Hire – Full Time

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated, detail‑oriented Accountant to join our close‑knit team of five, working alongside our Controller, Accounts Payable Specialist, and CFO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, hands‑on setting and values accuracy and efficiency in financial operations within a blue‑collar environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee software updates and improvements (Sage and Excel proficiency required)
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong experience with bank reconciliations and month-end procedures.
  • Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Qualifications :

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $31.25 / hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
