Shop Manager & Service Writer

Are you a leader who thrives on building relationships and delivering excellence? Walker Automotive is seeking a high-energy, integrity-driven Shop Manager & Service Writer to join our team full-time. In this critical leadership role, you won't just manage operations—you will be the primary champion of our mission, ensuring every client receives a "WOW experience" rooted in respect and integrity.

The Role : Leader, Salesperson, and Values-Keeper

As the Shop Manager & Service Writer, you are the maintainer of our high standards and the "keeper" of our company values. You will lead our staff to success while personally engaging with clients to sell repairs and services using our transparent, customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership : Lead the shop's staff to meet objectives and sales targets while holding the team accountable to company policies.
  • Customer Experience : Proactively prevent service issues and skillfully handle complaints to strengthen client relationships.
  • Operations : Maintain an efficient workflow using shop management software and assist in managing technician workloads.
  • Daily Management : Oversee store opening (7 : 00 AM) and closing (5 : 00 PM), including daily cash reconciliation and reporting.
  • Team Support : Embrace a "no job is too small" mentality, filling in on any task—from running shuttles to picking up parts—to keep the shop moving.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a professional who can stay focused in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.

  • Experience : At least 5 years in a management / supervisory role and 1 year of sales experience (or a proven ability to sell).
  • Technical Skills : Working knowledge of Windows computers, email, and office software, with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
  • Communication & Math : Fluency in English (written and verbal) and the ability to perform basic math functions using a calculator.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to drive motor vehicles with passengers and enter / exit various vehicles without assistance.
