Vice President of Construction – High-End Residential / Custom Homes

A premier high-end custom home builder is seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to lead and oversee all construction operations. This leadership role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a track record of delivering luxury residential projects on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.

This builder is known for creating custom, high-end homes with unmatched attention to detail and client service. The VP of Construction will be a key driver of operational excellence, team development, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all construction operations for luxury residential projects from preconstruction through closeout

Develop and implement construction processes, quality standards, and safety protocols

Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and field staff to ensure high performance

Partner with design, sales, and executive teams to ensure project budgets, schedules, and client expectations are met

Monitor project financials, including cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor performance

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and superior craftsmanship

Stay current with residential construction trends, methods, and technology to maintain a competitive advantage

Qualifications

10+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role in high-end residential or custom home construction

Proven track record managing multiple large-scale luxury residential projects

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Deep understanding of budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and construction best practices

Ability to balance client relationships with operational excellence

B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
