[job_card.job_description]Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and productivity. Supervise, support, and develop service technicians to ensure high performance and quality work. Manage repair orders, ensure timely completion of jobs, and maintain accurate documentation. Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by handling escalations, managing expectations, and ensuring timely communication. Coordinate with parts, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Monitor shop performance metrics and implement process improvements as needed. Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of service personnel. Manage shop inventory and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and operational. Proven experience in a Service Manager, Shop Manager, or similar leadership role in a mechanical, diesel, or fleet service environment. Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with service management software (Fullbay experience preferred). Technical knowledge of diesel, mechanical, or automotive repair. Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background and drug screening.
