Position Overview
Commercial set-up technicians are responsible for the assembly of new commercial equipment used in the golf, sports field and grounds industry. They play a critical role in upholding our reputation for exceeding our customers’ expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Uncrate, assemble, and prep new and demo equipment according to manufacturer standards
- Perform initial inspections, including fluid checks, safety checks, and adjustments to hydraulic and electrical systems
- Responsible for the cleanliness of finished products
- Performs minor adjustments and light equipment service, including but not limited to, oil changes, air filters, fuel filter replacement, simple blade sharpening
- Set up cutting units and adjusting height-of-cut
- Minor reconditioning of used or lease returned equipment for resale
- Works with the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman to order parts as needed
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records for repairs, service work orders, inventory and tagging and identifying parts for warranty
- Responsible for maintaining personal tools, work area, shop and shop tools
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area, following all safety regulations
- Operating forklift to move equipment between the shop and yard
