Job Title: Sheet Metal Installer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Mechanics and a Foreman capable of managing a crew of 5-10. You will be expected to independently lead a site, lay out tasks for your team, and work alongside them. As the primary point of contact on-site, you will handle customer queries and maintain communication with the office, embodying the true essence of a working foreman.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and lay out work for the team.
- Order necessary materials and conduct safety meetings.
- Assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
- Shape metal using anvils, blocks, or forms with a hammer.
- Utilize soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts.
- Inspect, assemble, and smooth seams and joints of burred surfaces.
Essential Skills
- 10+ years of duct work installation experience.
- OSHA 30 + SST certification.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for layout.
- Experience installing sheet metal ducts for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes.
- Experience working on high-rise commercial projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in HVAC installation and fabrication.
- Experience with spiral duct work.
- Strong understanding of layout design and blueprint reading.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
