Summary :

Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in coordinating maintenance work orders and optimizing team performance for plant process, equipment, and facility upkeep. Embrace our "One Team, One Mission" philosophy by collaborating across shifts and departments to ensure consistent yields, minimize downtime, and uphold HACCP, USDA, and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise a team of 5 Maintenance Techs and apprentices, overseeing work order completion, planned repairs / projects, and preventative maintenance. Manage scheduling, time, and attendance, and provide performance feedback for optimal job performance.
  • Collaborate on and troubleshoot major maintenance projects with the Maintenance team, and plant engineers, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensure swift and effective response to line breakdowns. Conduct failure analysis on work order challenges and implement preventive measures with teams to minimize future breakdowns.
  • Regularly communicate with Supervisors across shifts and departments to coordinate maintenance activities with Production schedules, providing breakdown and equipment repair status reports.

Supervisory Responsibility :

  • This position oversees 5-6 maintenance team members at the food manufacturing facility.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent technical diploma in Industrial Mechanics with 3 years of strong leadership within a Food manufacturing facility will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to make decisions in stressful situations.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in food manufacturing facilities.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge, including USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety (SQF).
  • Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
