Compensation

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $18.75 to $21.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $47,000 and $62,600 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials.
• Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.
• Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
• Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.
