Job Description

Shift : 1st Shift  5am - 3 : 05 pm M-F

Pay Rate : $22.00

Position Overview

The Material Handler position is responsible for management of inventory, supporting utility workers to help deliver raw materials to the bag lines at the best efficiency possible, and loading and unloading shipments.  The Material Handler reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to :

o    Company and facility Policies

o    Safety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules

o    Quality – PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures

o    SOPs – Methods for performing work

o    SSOP / Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean)

o    Good Manufacturing Practices

o    Food / Safety Security

o    HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)

o    Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications

o    Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line

o    Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

Education :  High School Diploma / GED.

Computer skills : Basic computer skills, warehouse management software (WMS)

Other Requirements : Forklift certification preferred and the ability to work safety and effectively with minimal supervision.
