Resumen del puesto:
El Ayudante de Embarque (Shipping Lumper) es responsable de cargar, descargar y organizar manualmente la mercancía dentro y fuera de los remolques, contenedores y áreas del almacén. Este puesto garantiza que los productos se manejen de manera segura, eficiente y precisa para apoyar las operaciones de envío y recepción a tiempo.
Responsabilidades principales:
Cargar y descargar productos de remolques y contenedores utilizando patines manuales o eléctricos, según sea necesario.
Desarmar tarimas y organizar la mercancía de acuerdo con las especificaciones del almacén o del cliente.
Clasificar, apilar y colocar productos para su correcta ubicación en inventario o envío.
Inspeccionar la mercancía para detectar daños o discrepancias y reportar cualquier problema de inmediato.
Mantener un área de trabajo limpia y organizada, cumpliendo con los estándares de seguridad.
Seguir todos los procedimientos de seguridad y usar el equipo de protección personal (PPE) requerido.
Colaborar con compañeros y supervisores para cumplir con la carga de trabajo y los plazos diarios.
Realizar otras tareas generales de almacén según se asignen.
Calificaciones:
Experiencia previa en almacén o trabajo manual preferida.
Capacidad para levantar, empujar y jalar hasta 50 libras (23 kg) de manera regular.
Comodidad trabajando en un entorno rápido y físicamente exigente.
Capacidad para estar de pie, caminar, agacharse y doblarse por períodos prolongados.
Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y trabajar de forma independiente o en equipo.
Conocimientos básicos de seguridad y operaciones de almacén son una ventaja.
Asistencia confiable y sólida ética de trabajo requeridas.
Ambiente de trabajo:
Entorno de almacén con exposición a temperaturas variables.
Requiere fuerza y resistencia física para levantar y mover objetos durante largos períodos.
Puede requerir trabajo los fines de semana, en la noche o tiempo extra según la carga laboral.
