Compares information and counts, weighs or measures items for outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, invoices, or other records.

Minimum Qualifications Required :

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a minimum of 1 year shipping experience.

Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge : Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to properly package, inspect, and ship product. Ability to read and follow basic instructions, ability to understand and implement quality procedures. Math and handwriting skills required and the ability to correctly complete all documentation. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Pay close attention to detail and recognize and assist in resolving problems. Must have good analytical and interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to organize, prioritize, complete tasks, and manage time. Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Must be a self-starter.

Working Conditions : While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and must be reasonably ambulatory. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 35 lbs. This job requires vision sufficient for completing quality work, reading comprehension and computer use. This work also requires hearing sufficient for normal workplace conversation and training. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
