Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, and assisting the Inventory Manager in maintaining accurate inventory records. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials, equipment, and products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to management
- Properly label, tag, and store received materials in designated locations
- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and records
- Prepare outgoing shipments including packaging, labeling, and documentation
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and internal departments
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed
- Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist warehouse and operations staff with other duties as assigned

Work Environment
Warehouse or shop environment. May involve standing, walking, lifting, and working around equipment. Standard business hours with occasional overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday, and operate warehouse equipment safely.
