Until Filled Applications are being accepted for the position of Sign Language Interpreter for our 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa AZ 85201 campus location. This position will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7 : 30-4 : 00 (Exact Schedule will be based on student needs)

Job Summary :

The Sign Language Interpreter facilitates effective communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals in classrooms, meetings, and school events using American Sign Language (ASL) or other appropriate manual sign systems. The Interpreter also serves as a liaison between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, hearing students, faculty, and staff, ensuring accessibility and compliance with ADA and Section 504 requirements.

Starting Salary : $23.29 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education and industry related experience.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an interpreter.
• Must meet Arizona Department of Education standards by demonstrating one of the

following :

Assessment (EIPA), or hold a National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Level 3

certification or higher.

Certificate of Interpretation (CI) and / or Certificate of Transliteration (CT)

from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)

1957.
