JOB DESCRIPTION
: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and optimization of high-speed digital systems, ensuring signal integrity and power integrity are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Department of Defense TS / SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS / SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform high-speed digital signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis using industry-standard simulation tools.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop and validate PCB layouts to meet SI and PI requirements.
- Conduct pre- and post-layout analysis to identify and mitigate potential signal and power integrity issues.
- Develop and implement design guidelines and best practices for high-speed digital circuits.
- Analyze and optimize power distribution networks (PDNs) to ensure robust performance under various operating conditions.
- Generate detailed reports and documentation of analysis results and recommendations.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of SI / PI issues in prototype and production hardware.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in signal and power integrity methodologies and technologies.
