UPrep is seeking a talented, engaging, and compassionate Middle School Soccer Coach . Job Summary :

Under general supervision, leads one of the multiple Middle School boys' soccer teams. Season begins on August 27th and concludes October 31st. Practices held twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 : 00pm - 4 : 30pm) and all matches are held between 2 : 30pm - 6 : 00pm.

Specific Responsibilities :

• Discusses game strategy and technique with Varsity coaching staff
• Conducts player evaluations during tryouts and mid-season review
• Manages player development based on program core competencies
• Works with Asst. Athletic Dir. and Middle School coaching staff to create practice plans that are skill appropriate
• Teaches appropriate fundamentals, techniques and skills
• Is responsible for the health and safety of the athletes
• In cooperation with Varsity Head Coach, articulates a well-defined and understandable coaching philosophy
• Applies developmentally appropriate and age appropriate methods to coaching student-athletes
• Emphasizes sportsmanship and leadership among athletes
• Clearly communicates to players, parents, administrators and staff
• Positively motivates athletes and promotes teamwork
• Directs off-court curriculum
• Attends all meetings and trainings as required by the league and / or Athletic Director
• Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school's documents
• Since safety and security are everyone's responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials and facilities
• Performs other duties as assigned
