About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to help grow Inogen’s brand presence, engage our community of patients and healthcare professionals, and support our broader marketing goals across all social platforms. The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, content creator, and data-aware marketer—comfortable moving quickly, testing new ideas, and creating thumb-stopping content that performs.

You will manage day-to-day publishing, content creation, community engagement, and reporting across channels such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Publishing

  • Create, edit, and publish daily social content (posts, Reels, Stories, videos, graphics).
  • Maintain the social media content calendar and ensure alignment with brand messaging and campaigns.
  • Write clear, engaging captions tailored to each platform.
  • Collaborate with Creative or external resources to produce assets when needed.

Community Management

  • Monitor comments, messages, and community conversations across all channels.
  • Respond to questions, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain a strong brand voice.
  • Identify opportunities to engage with customers, creators, partners, and relevant conversations.

    • Platform Management

  • Schedule and publish content across platforms using scheduling tools (HubSpot).
  • Stay on top of platform updates, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Support influencer collaborations, partnerships, and user-generated content (UGC) sourcing.

    • Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Track and analyze performance data across posts, campaigns, and platforms.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Test new content formats, posting times, and creative approaches to improve reach and engagement.
  • Monitor competitive activity and surface new ideas that keep the brand relevant.

    • What We’re Looking For

  • 0–3 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or agency.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (YouTube and WhatsApp a plus).
  • Hands-on experience creating content—especially short-form video.
  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for visual detail and on-brand storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics dashboards and social media performance metrics.
  • Proactive, creative thinker who brings fresh ideas and thrives in collaborative environments.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience working in DTC, healthcare, wellness, consumer products, or regulated industries.
  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or UGC programs.
  • Basic knowledge of paid social or boosting posts.

    • Inogen assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees.  The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,354.76 and $75,000 annually. However, actual base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including as to individual skills, education, experience and market location.
