Job description

Business Analyst

Client is seeking a Business Analyst to review, analyze, and document software requirements while leading the business analysis phase for projects. This role will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, business teams, IT teams, operations, and clients to ensure software requirements are clearly understood, documented, and delivered.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements management efforts for assigned projects.
  • Own the business analysis role throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and understand stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders as needed.
  • Partner with project managers, project requestors, operations, business representatives, IT representatives, and clients to gather and confirm software requirements.
  • Produce project requirements documentation using standard templates.
  • Create written requirements, process diagrams, report mock-ups, wireframes, and related documentation.
  • Manage assigned work to project timelines and deadlines.
  • Support the organization's quality programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Computer science major preferred.
  • 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Business analysis experience focused on software requirements.
  • Requirements gathering, requirements documentation, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience creating process diagrams, report mock-ups, wireframes, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of third-party administration and claims management business and technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience in multi-line claims management processes and system requirements.
  • Computer science background.

Work Details

  • Remote or onsite in Memphis.
  • Travel as required.
