SUMMARY
The Sous Chef will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occassionally special events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but may include additional duites as assigned.

This position has been designated as an Essential Personnel position by the Agency. This means that the duties and responsibilities of your position are essential to the safe and secure operation of the agency or the program in which you work. As an essential employee, you shall be responsible for getting to work or remaining at work as needed during times of buildings and grounds breakdowns, extreme weather conditions or natural disasters.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; 3 - 4 years cook experience with basic operation of kitchen equipment
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current driver's license and acceptable driving record per agency guidelines, with proof of auto insurance. Serve Safe certification is required and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Repeated hand-wrist movement required. Corrected vision to normal range; normal hearing and talking is required for verbal communications. Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and machines as referenced. Good memory and recall is necessary for the accurate and timely transfer of data/information.
