  • POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Executive Director, the Employment Coordinator is responsible for facilitating employment and training services which provide people who have different abilities, opportunities to work and receive work support as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.

  • M - F, 7:30a.m. - 4:30 p.m. + flexible to job demands Salary: $22 per hours with Benefits!

Pay Type:

  • Exempt Travel Required: 10% Ensures the implementation and provision of services required by all Missouri funding sources.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, including DOL Wage and Hour, MO DESE, AbilityOne and others as required.
  • Provides instruction and feedback to certified workers for continuum of personal care and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates and documents progress.
  • Completes reporting requirements and maintains all required documentation for certified workers.
  • Assists the Director with interviewing, training, assigning work, evaluating and recommending discipline for employees.
  • In the absence of the Director, manages the day-to-day operations of the facility and supervision of employees and certified workers assigned to the program.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Certified Worker Relations .
  • Promote a culture of person-centered services that advances the Company’s mission to provide quality care and services in a community-based setting to individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure a high rate of individuals’ satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist certified workers with vocational, personal, social, guardianship or advocacy needs.
  • Coordinate additional assistance from staff, certified workers, family members or guardians, residential provider and other service providers as needed.
  • Provide orientation, guidance, and regular updates to individuals, families, and supports regarding PCU expectations, regulatory needs, and wage data.
  • Assist, as assigned, in Program needs such as lunch duty, morning check-in, etc.
  • Employment, Training, Integration Assist in the coordination of work opportunities to ensure seamless delivery of services to certified workers.
  • Ensure that proper training, supervision and transportation, if needed, is provided.
  • Assist in the commensurate wage process to document and ensure compliance with certified worker wages.
  • Oversee management of community integration programs including staff, budget, reporting, public relations, advertising, training and other operational areas of need.
  • Develop integration opportunities for individuals as determined through the person-centered plan.
  • Person-Centered Planning Work with funder case managers to establish annual personal or service plans, goals and objectives with individuals and applicable family/guardians/residential provider/state counselor as required.
  • Monitor progress and document behaviors, incidents and service activity.
  • Review staff’s documentation and file all plans, reports and forms in case files per procedures.
  • Educate individuals, family/guardians/providers and other service providers regarding maintaining benefits as applicable.
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained according to regulatory specifications.
  • Preform the intake process of new certified workers, ensuring that all documentation is compliant with regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Certified Worker Continuum of Care Maintain certified worker caseload which would include assisting them with vocational, personal, social, guardianship or advocacy needs.
  • Coordinate additional assistance from staff, certified worker family members or guardians, residential provider and other service providers as needed.
  • Transport individuals as needed for community integrated outings, employment, or other appointments using a company van or personal insured vehicle.

  • Lead team and place people in positions to succeed.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and Administrative Support Specialist to ensure seamless messaging and task completion.
  • Train and empower team members to effectively oversee their areas of responsibility.
  • Encourage effective outcomes and accountability.
  • Communicate job expectations.
  • Evaluate team for continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Mentor and develop the team through training and problem resolution.
  • Communicate regularly with staff on certified worker updates and workplace changes.
  • Supplement staff efforts or fill in for absent staff as needed.
  • Oversee the provision of services to ensure that person centered programming is executed across all areas as required by state regulatory requirements.
  • Build an effective Company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field preferred.

Experience :

  • One year of experience with people with Developmental Disabilities plus three years of management/supervisory experience (may be obtained concurrently) with bachelor's degree; five+ years of experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities plus three years of management/supervisory experience (may be obtained concurrently) required with High School diploma or GED.

Certifications/Licenses :

  • CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), QIDP and Direct Support Person (DSP) training provided by the company must be successfully completed within the first 4 months to be certified and annually thereafter for CPR, 1st Aid and CPI to maintain the position.

Pre-Employment Tests :

  • Drug screen.
  • Physical capacity test.

Computer Skills :

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Background Checks :

  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.
  • Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria, maintain valid driver’s license and be 25 or older to drive 15-person capacity van on Company business.

Driving:

  • Use of personal insured vehicle for Company related travel is required.

  • Handling Frequently using hands in writing and typing, and general office work.
  • Movement Kneeling required to perform CPR practice sessions, complete skills testing and use as required.
  • Occasionally bending, reaching, and twisting; occasionally climbing stairs and/or ladders squatting.
  • Lifting May need to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. to assist an individual to their feet from a lying or sitting position, to help with walking or for the individual to change positions.
