[job_card.job_description]Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for the work to be performed CPR & First Aid certified preferred. Monitor the safety of handicapped children. Assist in the loading and unloading of handicapped students. Follows mandated child restrain procedures to ensure children are properly positioned and restrained (Booster seats, seat belts, and wheelchairs). Assist the bus driver in any emergency situations.to include evacuation if necessary. Administer first aid or CPR to students as needed. Assist students as needed to the school building and homes and ensure they are received by authorized individuals only. Assist in completing incident or accident reports, when necessary or appropriate. Assures the bus driver is not distracted from the safe operation of the vehicle. Reports any traffic violation incurred by the driver to the immediate supervisor. Assist in maintaining the interior of the bus in a clean and safe operating condition. Assures that no child is left behind or left unsupervised on the bus. Attends all staff meetings, team meetings, and trainings as requested Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and / or others Perform other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY PURPOSE :
To give assistance to handicapped children so they may take full advantage of the instructional and related programs of the District.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
Special Knowledge / Skills :
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
