Salary : $52,000 - $70,000 DOE

Certified Special Education Teacher - West Valley Campus (Grades K-7th grade)

We're seeking SPED Certified candidates to implement " enrichment / specials " for students!Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Leadership, the Certified Special Education Teacher will effectively manage a caseload of students while preparing lesson plans, instructing students, evaluating and monitoring students performance, and advancing student achievement in the environment. The Certified Special Education Teacher should have experience differentiating instruction for a variety of learners and will work collaboratively with a team to plan and support instruction in accordance with students IEP goals. Teachers in this role should demonstrate a commitment to professional development through didactic workshops and classroom coaching.

Candidates should have a passion for students on the spectrum and a willingness to be trained and coached in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. The Certified Special Education Teacher will support a caseload of students and work on a team to implement a best-practice educational model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum and students with other related disorders at the West Valley Campus (K-7th grade).

Supervisory Responsibilities :

• Directs, monitors, and mentors paraprofessionals and behavior specialists working with students who have disabilities.

Positions in this class require : stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Light Work :

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions :

Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
