About the role :
Our Client is looking for a Weekend Anchor / MMJ to join their team. As the face of their weekend evening shows, you will play a key role in delivering news that informs, engages, and empowers viewers across broadcast, social, streaming, and digital platforms. This position is the newsroom leader on the weekend. Candidates should have experience shooting / editing video and writing. Newsroom experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Anchor weekend evening newscasts and actively participate in daily news gathering
- Report, write, and deliver stories in a clear and concise manner
- Respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations as required
- Write stories for the website and digital platforms, and engage with viewers on social media in a professional manner
- Participate in station promotional activities and special news programming
