Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid) to support mission-critical operations in Colorado Springs, CO. The  SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid)  will design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and database objects, troubleshoot performance issues, and support mission-critical applications in a Java / Spring CI environment for a large-scale Federal IT program.

Responsibilities for the SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid) include :

  • Design and optimize SQL queries to support reporting needs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability for business-critical applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve database-related problems, including performance bottlenecks, query errors, and connectivity issues, to maintain system reliability.
  • Implement tuning strategies for queries and indexes, monitor resource utilization, and ensure optimal performance of application databases.

Qualifications for the SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid) include :

  • 3+ years of experience writing and tuning SQL queries ; 3+ years in IT Delivery and Operations experience ; 3+ years of SQL coding and scripting experience
  • Expertise in optimizing database performance and tuning complex SQL statements.
  • Reviewing, implementing design changes, and coding database objects (procedures, functions, packages, triggers).
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle DB administration and related tools.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile framework and experience in large-scale Federal IT programs.
  • Active Secret Clearance

    • Compensation for the SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid) include :

  • Salary Range : $125,000 - $140,000 based on years of experience
  • Benefits : Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, PTO (Paid Time Off), Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
