Summary
SUMMARY OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for supervising the Material Management receiving and distribution staff, as well as overseeing those day-to-day activities. This position provides leadership and guidance to their direct report staff by providing a positive and team-oriented environment for all employees. This person works directly with various hospital staff and leaders to address supply chain issues and correct problems as they occur on a day-to-day basis. This position is responsible for assisting the Material Management Inventory and Logistics Manager in developing process improvements and ensuring that these improvements are implemented across the entire department and/or throughout supply chain process. This position is responsible for training and developing direct report staff.
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Leading and coordinating the activities of the material management receiving and distribution staff by maintaining and promoting a positive team-oriented environment.
- Interview and hire new employees that are best suited for positions.
- Responsible for the training and/or supervise the training of all new employees making sure that they are provided with the tools to do their job efficiently and effectively.
- Listen to all employee concerns and ideas. Respond quickly, accurately, and accordingly in a professional manner. Treat employee conversations as confidential.
- Provide timekeeping responsibilities, as well as scheduling for all direct report staff.
- Responsible for annual evaluations, as well as coaching and documentation of performance related issues of direct report staff.
- Auditing of PAR and supply rooms to ensure compliance with ACHC standards.
- Address and resolve problems that occur on a day-to-day basis using good judgment.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures in their specified areas are up-to-date and followed by staff.
Required Certification/License/Experience: 5+ years of experience.
